Our top 10 places to get snowed in

With all the chaos of the last few days we thought we would gather a few projects we like from around the world to show how Architecture can harness the so called “Beast from the East” and get cosy doing so!

Here are the top 10 places we’d love to get snowed in.

Connecting two properties into one

Councils set out criteria for Single Storey Permitted Development which allow extensions, in certain circumstances, to be constructed without Planning Permission. These guidelines set out criteria for many factors including size, height and the position of the extension, however if these can be met, as they were on this project, Planning Permission is not required which can save time, money and stress.

Ugly House Lovely House

We work on a variety of projects which involve altering or extending a home. This one had a very interesting brief; the family had grown, and they needed extra space, but they also desired a house that they were excited to come home to. Like the popular channel 4 series, we were to transform this ugly house to a lovely house!

DIA Awards – Winner Best Interior

We are delighted to have won Best Interior at the Dundee Institute of Architects Awards 2017 for our Woodend project.

Revisiting Drumpark

We had a great day revisiting these two houses with Marc Millar Photography. Both sets of clients have moved in and are thoroughly enjoying their new homes. The early summer weather was surprisingly good for Scotland!

Toumaline Starts on Site

At the start of 2017 work started on a new single storey house near Perth. It's a fabulous site with great views to the south and the Ochil hills, the house sits into the site given it shelter and reducing the impact on the surrounding landscape.
